Su música y letra nos remiten a la vida del potrero del campo. Don Laco desde siempre ha estado inmerso en esa vida; razón suficiente para que este huapango le guste de manera especial y por ello sea el que más interpretó (según refiere él mismo) cuando tenía su trío llamado Crema Huasteca, hace ya muchos años.
