Con fotografías surgidas de los archivos de la familia Monsiváis, otras que provienen de los círculos de colegas y amigos de la Dirección de Estudios Históricos, o bien con algunas reconocidas e icónicas, Esther Acevedo, historiadora de arte, y Lilia Venegas, historiadora de las luchas femeninas, trazan mediante viñetas breves y precisas la ruta vital de ese personaje múltiple, omnipresente, inabarcable: Carlos Monsiváis. Un hombre comprometido con ese tiempo vertiginoso y cambiante que fue la segunda mitad del siglo pasado.
