Este son tiene tres virtudes: la primera, que es uno de los favoritos de don Laco y Víctor Moedano; la segunda que en esta versión hay dos estrofas en náhuatl: la lengua materna de Víctor; la tercera, pero no por eso menos importante, es que en él se encuentran los versos más bellos que se hayan escrito para un son huasteco.
