Este son tiene un contratiempo que dificulta su ejecución musical y dancística, quizá por ello es uno de los favoritos de los habitantes de Colatlán. Don Laco cuenta que este son se utilizaba para cortejar a la pareja con la que se quisiera establecer algún lazo sentimental. Según refiere, se baila frente a frente con la pareja y, en los cruces que se dan como parte de la dinámica del baile, el hombre le habla al oído a la mujer para convencerla de salir a pasear y, así, conocerse mejor.
