Pendiente en forma de quincunce
El quincunce era el símbolo utilizado por los antiguos pobladores de Mesoamérica para designar los rumbos del universo: este, sur, oeste y norte, además del centro, que funcionaba como el eje del mundo o axis mundi. Generalmente se representaba como un conjunto de cinco puntos, cuatro en las esquinas y uno al centro, como en este pendiente de concha hallado en el sitio de Ek’ Balam, Yucatán.
