Máscara de jadeíta
La máscara perteneció al gobernante maya Yuknom Yich' ak k'ak' (Garra de Jaguar) y se encontraba colocada sobre su hombro derecho, en su ofrenda funeraria. El divino señor Yuknom Yich ‘ak k ‘ak o Garra de Jaguar gobernó Calakmul del año 686 a 695. Enfrentó militarmente al señor de Tikal por la hegemonía de la región del Petén norte, hoy conocido como el sur de Campeche. Su derrota marcó el inicio de la decadencia de Cuch Cabal o reino de la Cabeza de Serpiente.
