Coyote de Ihuatzio

La antigua ciudad de Ihuatzio, vecina de Tzintzuntzan, es la localidad en la que se han encontrado esculturas de mayores dimensiones y complejidad. Ejemplo de ello, es el conocido Chacc Mool, figura de un hombre recostado, con la cabeza volteada a su izquierda y la piernas flexionadas. Sujetaba con ambas manos una placa que hacía las veces de altar en el que seguramente se depositaban ofrendas. Aquí podemos observar la figura de coyote-símbolo de la ciudad de Ihuatzio tallado como un banco y posiblemente usado por parte de los más altos señores uacúsechas.
