Coyolxauhqui

Fue tallada por los mexicas hacia el año 1469. Tiene una circunferencia irregular, su diámetro oscila entre 2.98 y 3.26 m. Su peso es de aproximadamente ocho toneladas. Coyolxauhqui significa “La que se pinta el rostro con cascabeles”, por ello luce un cascabel en la única mejilla visible. La imagen nos muestra a una mujer decapitada y desmembrada luciendo atavíos guerreros, como su penacho de plumas y los plumones circulares de águila sobre el cabello.
