Vista de la Catedral de México
Carlos Nebel fue un artista alemán que viajó por México entre los años 30 y 40 del siglo XIX. Produjo una amplia gama de dibujos, litografías y pinturas de temas costumbristas y paisajes. Son célebres sus escenas sobre la primera intervención norte americana y sus vistas de distintas ciudades del país. Antes de que pasara al museo en 1918, esta obra se encontraba en la penitenciaría de Guadalajara.
