Miguel Ahumada Sauceda

Miguel Ahumada Sauceda (1844-1916), originario de Colima, ingresó al Ejército de Occidente al mando del Gral. Ramón Corona. Destacó por su valor y alcanzó el grado de Coronel. Inició su trayectoria política como Comandante de Armas de Colima y después como Gobernador de Chihuahua. Fue Gobernador Constitucional de Jalisco, entre 1903 y 1911. Durante su gestión, se iniciaron las primeras obras de pavimentación de las calles y el entubamiento del río San Juan de Dios, se puso en marcha el servicio de tranvía eléctrico y se inauguró el kiosco de la Plaza de Armas. Murió en El Paso, Texas, el 27 de agosto de 1916.
