Entrada triunfal a Jerusalén

Este episodio se conoce como Domingo de Ramos, en alusión a las hojas de palma con que recibieron a Cristo en Jerusalén. Los Evangelios narran que Jesús viajaba de Betania y antes de llegar, sus discípulos buscaron un burro para que lo montara y pudiera entrar a la ciudad amurallada. Acompañando de sus apóstoles, ingresó a Jerusalén y la gente al enterarse de que llegaba el Salvador, lo recibió con alegría y un camino tapizado de hojas de palma. Conforme avanzaba, le cantaban “Hosanna, bendito el que viene en nombre del señor”, el término hebreo Hosanna se utilizaba a manera de saludo y bendición.
