Manteniendo la estructura compositiva de las demás obras de esta serie, los ángeles aparecen en grupo de dos y portan los símbolos de la eternidad, la victoria, el amor y la pureza. La cartela en este caso es sostenida por un ángel al centro y presenta la inscripción: Continúa fiel hasta la muerte y te daré la corona de la Gloria, frase tomada de la carta segunda y destinada a la Iglesia Esmirna. (Apocalipsis II, 10).
