Miguel Anselmo Álvarez de Valdez
Doctor, obispo y auxiliar de la diócesis de la ciudad de Puebla. Perteneció a la iglesia de Comayagua, en Honduras, y finalmente fungió como obispo de la ciudad de Antequera, hoy Oaxaca, en donde murió después de asistir al IV Concilio Mexicano. En este retrato se muestra la imagen del obispo Álvarez de Valdez con vestimenta eclesiástica. Lleva sotana negra ribeteada en rojo, solideo en los mismos colores y alzacuello blanco.Jesús Romero Flores, Iconografía colonial, p. 8.
