En este pequeño lienzo localizado en el camarín de la Virgen de Loreto, Miguel Cabrera retrató al santo fundador de la Compañía de Jesús portando el libro abierto que simboliza la regla de la orden. Como es costumbre, en él se observa el monograma de Jesucristo que el santo eligió como escudo y el lema Ad maiorem Dei gloriam, que identifica a los jesuitas.Esta obra proviene del acervo original del colegio jesuita de Tepotzotlán y se localiza en el Camarín de la virgen.
