En este lienzo, ubicado en el camarín de la virgen, se observa al santo evangelista sentado y en actitud de escribir, en alusión a sus obras que narran la vida de Cristo. A sus pies aparece el buey, símbolo que lo identifica, ya que en su Evangelio se refiere con amplitud a la mansedumbre y humanidad de Jesucristo.
