La danza clásica y el modernismo

Este video presenta a la historia de los bailarines y coreógrafos que durante las primeras décadas del siglo XX propiciaron la evolución de la danza clásica apoyados e influenciados por nuevas corrientes artísticas, teorías del arte, pedagogías y movimientos sociales. La investigadora Sylvia Ramírez inicia este programa aseverando que la danza clásica no murió con el Lago de los cisnes. El programa está dedicado a los bailarines/coreógrafos cuyas aportaciones introdujeron plenamente a la danza clásica en la corriente modernista: Michel Fokine (1880-1942), Vaslav Nijinsky (1890-1950), Léonide Massine (1895-1979), Bronislava Nijinska (1892-1972), George Balanchine (1904-1983) y Rudolf Nureyev (1938-1993). En el video participan Sylvia Ramírez, Elizabeth Cámara, Tulio de la Rosa y Nellie Happee.
