Nicolás de Guadalajara

Nace en la ciudad de Puebla en el año de 1631. A los 17 años recibió el habito de la compañía de Jesús, siendo ya bachiller en artes. Desempeño las cátedras de filosofía y teología y ocupo los cargos de rector de los colegios de San Jerónimo y de San Ildefonso en Puebla. murió el 18 de octubre de 1683 en el colegio del Espíritu Santo, fungiendo como director espiritual de novicios. Escribió los tratados místicos: Azote de vicios, Semilla de desengaños, Cosecha de buenos afectos y Antorcha de justos. (1) Obra citada por Jesús Romero Flores; procede del Departamento de Historia.
