Tomás de Guadalajara

Tomas de Guadalajara, natural de la ciudad de Puebla, tomo el habito de la compañía de Jesús en el colegio de Tepotzotlán el 17 de diciembre de 1667, siendo bachiller en teología. Durante su vida religiosa desempeño el oficio de misionero, en especial en la sierra Tarahumara, donde fundo varias misiones. Su obra literaria mas conocida es Arte general de diferentes idiomas de los indios barbaros, que escribió antes de su muerte, acaecida en 1720 en la misión san Jerónimo de Huexotitla, en la sierra Tarahumara.
