XOCHIAPULCO INCENDIADO POR LOS TRAIDORES QUE FUERON CAPTURADOS Y FUSILADOS: LOS AUSTRIACOS DERROTADOS Y PRISIONEROS POR LOS GENERALES JOSE M. MALDONADO Y JUAN FRANCISCO LUCAS. MARZO 14 DE 1865. Óleo sobre tela con bastidor de madera y marco del mismo material. Representación de la batalla que se libró en el municipio de Xochiapulco en el Estado de Puebla, incendiada por los austriacos y retomada por los generales José M. Maldonado y Juan Francisco Lucas quienes inmediatamente mandaron fusilar a los traidores al servicio de los invasores franceses el 14 de marzo de 1865. La escena se desarrolla a un costado del río Apulco.
