San Miguel Arcángel
San Miguel, que según la tradición cristiana es el general de los ejércitos celestiales, es igualmente considerado el protector de la Iglesia militante. Iconográficamente,es el ángel cuyos atributos son más claros y definidos. En esta obra aparece ataviado, según la tradición renacentista, como un soldado y con sus atributos más característicos: el cetro en la mano, el Sol, la Luna y las estrellas en su coraza. (1) El báculo, que usualmente remata en cruz, en este caso termina en elementos vegetales.
