Este personaje, un roedor antropomorfizado, ataviado con un collar, puede ser una tuza (familia Geomyidae), un tepezcuintle (Cuniculus paca) o un guaqueque (Dasyprocta punctata). En cualquier caso, como representación simbólica, seguramente estuvo asociado con las transformaciones chamánicas en los “otros yo” animales y muestra la estrecha relación de la fauna con el hombre maya.
