San Agustín de Hipona
José de Alzíbar (1730-1803), fue uno de los artistas más activos y representativos de la escena pictórica de México durante la segunda mitad del siglo XVIII. En esta pintura, San Agustín de Hipona, pilar de la iglesia africana y Doctor de la iglesia universal, aparece representado como obispo, con mitra y dalmática. Su rostro sereno, se levanta hacia el cielo para recibir la inspiración divina de la Trinidad, haciendo alusión a la visión que tuvo mientras estaba en una playa, tratando de comprender el misterio de la Trinidad.
