Santa italiana del siglo XV. Se distinguió por haber soportado con paciencia los malos tratos de su marido. Al enviudar ingresó al convento de las agustinas donde se distinguió por sus meditaciones sobre la Pasión de Cristo.En esta obra viste el hábito negro de la Orden, porta un silicio como símbolo de penitencia y, en la frente, clavada una espina que se supone desprendida de la Corona del Cristo ante el que reza.
