Guerrero Águila
Escultura de cerámica de tamaño natural que representa a un guerrero águila; conserva restos del estuco que la cubría, simulando el plumaje de los trajes auténticos. Los guerreros águila y los guerreros jaguar eran las dos corporaciones más importantes dentro del ejército mexica, relacionándose los primeros con el Sol y los segundos con la Tierra y la noche.Esta efigie, junto con otra de iguales características y tamaño, fueron encontradas presidiendo el acceso principal de la Casa de las Águilas, edificio localizado al norte del Templo Mayor en el cual, según las investigaciones realizadas, se efectuaban importantes ceremonias relacionadas con la entronización del Hueitlatoani, el máximo gobernante de Tenochtitlan.
